Abstract:Given persistently low fertility rates and declining reproductive potential in China, this study constructs an integrated “Three-Dimensional Dual-Mechanism” model that elucidates the impact of childhood trauma on female reproductive health. The model demonstrates how trauma type, timing of exposure, and cumulative burden collectively affect women’s reproductive capacity, maternal physical and mental health, and overall reproductive outcomes. Furthermore, it reveals the underlying neurobiological and psychobehavioral mechanisms mediating these effects. It is recommended that future fundamental research develop localized assessment tools and establish a three-dimensional analytical framework encompassing “trauma type, timing of exposure, and cumulative burden.” For practical application, we suggest establishing a comprehensive “assessment-intervention-support” service system, leveraging digital technology as a key tool.
