Abstract Based on empirical facts about consciousness, three laws of consciousness are proposed.
The first law states the neural four-ingredient of consciousness. The second law describes the
necessary and sufficient conditions of emergence of consciousness. The third law gives the
mind-brain equation of the correlation between the intensity of conscious experience and the
activation level of the related brain area.
