5 The Impact Pathways of Organizational Dehumanization on Employees

Organizational dehumanization is a cutting-edge research topic encompassing both mechanistic and animalistic organizational dehumanization, which exerts negative effects on employees. This paper systematically summarizes the internal mechanisms and boundary conditions of organizational dehumanization impacts, and proposes a cognitive-affective process model. Future research could strengthen investigations into animalistic organizational dehumanization, expand research perspectives and levels, introduce novel theoretical frameworks, explore spillover effects, investigate curvilinear relationships, and conduct comparative studies across different cultural contexts.

18 For the Family: One Strategy of Gig Workers Coping with Occupational Stigma

This study examines the impact of gig workers’ perceived occupational stigma as a social work characteristic on their work meaningfulness and further explores the role of family-sacrifice attribution in this relationship. We tested the proposed hypotheses using a three-wave survey design and structural equation modeling. The results indicate that family-sacrifice attribution reduces the negative impact of perceived occupational stigma on work meaningfulness and weakens its indirect effect on job change intention via this mechanism. These findings highlight that family-sacrifice attribution among gig workers can effectively buffer the negative consequences of perceived occupational stigma as a social work characteristic.

26 Executive Function Performance in Problematic Internet Users: A Three-Level Meta-Analysis

To clarify the executive functioning characteristics of individuals with Problematic Internet Use (PIU), this study conducted a three-level random-effects meta-analysis of 59 studies. Results revealed that the PIU group demonstrated significantly poorer overall executive functioning compared to the healthy control group. Significant moderating effects of executive function components were observed: the PIU group exhibited notably worse performance in working memory, inhibitory control, and cognitive flexibility compared to controls, with working memory showing a substantially larger effect size than other subcomponents. However, no significant moderating effects emerged for gender, age, cultural background, PIU type, or material specificity. These findings provide empirical foundations for both theoretical models and clinical interventions targeting PIU.

37 The Intergenerational Transmission of Familism Values: The Role of Parenting Styles and Family Functioning

A survey of 1,047 family groups was conducted to explore the intergenerational transmission of familism values and the mechanisms of the role of parenting styles and family functioning. The results found that familism values have intergenerational transmission effects in Chinese families. In the chain mediation model, it was found that the mother's familism values had a significant direct intergenerational transmission effect, whereas the father's familism values did not. As well, both mothers' and fathers' familism values have indirect intergenerational transmission effects through the separate mediation of positive parenting styles or the chain mediation of positive parenting styles and family functions. The results reveal the intergenerational development of familism values in Chinese families.

47 Effect of Perceived Upward Social Mobility on Prosocial Tendency: The Serial Mediating Role of Status-Seeking Motivation and Communal Relationship Orientation

Based on self-determination theory, this study explores the relationship between perceived upward social mobility and prosocial tendency, as well as its underlying mechanisms. Using questionnaire surveys and experimental studies, it was found that, after controlling for subjective social class and social mobility beliefs, perceived upward social mobility significantly and positively predicted prosocial tendency. Status-seeking motivation and communal relationship orientation played a chain mediation role in this relationship. This study reveals the specific role and underlying mechanisms of perceived upward social mobility in promoting prosocial tendency, deepening the theoretical discussion on the relationship between class mobility and prosocial tendency.

56 Revision of the Chinese Version of the Social Pain Questionnaire and Its Reliability and Validity Test in College Students

Objective: To revise the Social Pain Questionnaire (SPQ) and test its reliability and validity among Chinese college students. Methods: The Chinese version of the SPQ items was determined through item analysis and exploratory factor analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis was then used to validate its structure, followed by testing the questionnaire's reliability and validity. Results: The 10-item Chinese version of the SPQ demonstrated good differentiation. Both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses (χ2/df=6.65, RMSEA=0.08, CFI=0.98, TLI=0.97, GFI=0.96, NFI=0.98) supported a single-factor structure, and the reliability and validity of the scale met psychometric requirements. Conclusion: The revised Chinese version of the SPQ meets psychometric standards and can be used as a reliable tool to measure social pain among Chinese college students.

64 #br# The Influence of Object Similarity on Perception of Social Relationship Information

As inherently social beings, humans navigate a complex environment where the accurate recognition of social information—such as others’ behaviors, intentions, and emotions—is vital for survival and development. The visual system is capable of extracting individual-level social information including attributes like animacy and personality, as well as more complex interpersonal social relationship information such as cooperation, competition, chasing, and protection, from the motion of simple geometric shapes.
Simple moving objects convey both physical and kinematic information. On one hand, the visual system organizes perceptual input based on physical features according to Gestalt principles of similarity (e.g., color and shape similarity), thereby grouping similar objects together. On the other hand, the visual system can automatically extract social relationship information directly from motion patterns, effectively achieving perceptual organization based on social relationship information (e.g., grouping objects in cooperative relationships). However, conflicts may arise between organizations based on physical features and that based on social relationship information; specifically, object similarity may modulate the extraction of social relational information. The present study primarily addresses this issue.
We employed a dynamic chasing paradigm consisting of two chasers (predators) and one target (prey). The object similarity between chasers (identical vs. different appearance) and the type of motion trajectory (cooperative chasing vs. competitive chasing vs. random motion) were manipulated as independent variables. Participants were required to evaluate the perceived social relationship between the two chasers, where higher scores indicated a stronger perception of cooperation, while lower scores indicated a stronger perception of competition. Experiment 1 verified whether participants could accurately identify cooperative and competitive relationships from the motion of simple objects. Experiment 2 investigated how object similarity between chasers influenced observers’ perception of cooperative and competitive relationships. Experiment 3 confirmed the robustness of the findings in experiment 2 by eliminating a potential confounding factor: the shared appearance between one chaser and the target.
Results indicated that participants effectively distinguished social relationships. Evaluation scores for cooperative relationships were significantly above zero, whereas scores for competitive relationships were significantly below zero (Experiment 1). Crucially, when chasers are in cooperative relationship, evaluation scores were higher for chasers with identical appearances compared to those with different appearances. Conversely, no significant difference was found in the evaluation of competitive relationships based on appearance similarity. This pattern persisted even after controlling physical feature confounds between the chasers and the target (Experiment 3).
These findings suggest that while observers can effectively perceive social relationship information from the motion of simple objects, visual similarity modulates this process asymmetrically. Compared to chasers with different appearances, observers perceive stronger cooperative relationships between chasers with identical appearances. By contrast, there is no difference in perceived competitive intensity between the identical and different appearances.
The present study offers novel evidence regarding how object similarity influences social relationship information, providing a new perspective on advancing the understanding of the visual information interaction principles between Gestalt organization and social organization in cognitive processing. The principle of object similarity provides a theoretical basis for enhancing human’s understanding of behaviors and intentions among multiple agents, as well as for constructing efficient and ecological human-machine symbiotic environments.

74 Application and Prospects of Discrete Choice Experiments in Mental Health Management

Discrete choice experiments (DCEs) are preference elicitation methods grounded in the theory of random utility maximization. By simulating multi-attribute decision-making scenarios, DCEs quantify how individuals make trade-offs between different attributes in health-related choices. This paper systematically reviews applications of DCEs in mental health management. Research outputs are synthesized across four lenses: relative importance, willingness to pay, heterogeneity analysis, and scenario forecasting. The findings offer practical insights for tailoring intervention programs and implementing stratified strategies. Future research should aim to integrate DCEs with psychological theories to better understand the underlying cognitive and affective mechanisms driving preferences. Additionally, incorporating DCEs methodology into psychology curricula could enrich the methodological repertoire available for empirical research in the field.

85 Review and Prospect of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Combined with Cognitive Training for Modulating Cognitive Abnormalities#br#

Cognitive abnormalities are pervasive across a spectrum of neurological diseases and psychiatric disorders, substantially impairing learning capacity, social functioning, and overall quality of life. These deficits are often characterized by slow recovery trajectories and limited compensatory potential, posing significant challenges for clinical rehabilitation. While non-pharmacological interventions such as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) and cognitive training (CT) have been widely adopted, monotherapies exhibit inherent limitations. Specifically, rTMS effectively modulates cortical excitability and facilitates neuroplasticity but lacks precise functional specificity. Conversely, CT engages specific cognitive processes through repeated training, but it is constrained without sufficient cortical excitability or neural network involvement. Consequently, protocols combining rTMS with CT have emerged as a promising intervention tool. However, current clinical outcomes remain highly heterogeneous, and the synergistic neural mechanisms have not been systematically elucidated. Therefore, this study aims to explicate the underlying neural mechanisms and influential factors, as well as systematically synthesize recent advances in this combined intervention among populations with various neuro-psychiatric disorders. 
To achieve this objective, this study analyzed a broad range of recent empirical studies and mechanistic investigations regarding rTMS, CT, and their combined applications. We critically evaluated evidence across multiple dimensions, including neurophysiological mechanisms, clinical efficacy across different pathological phenotypes, and methodological variations in intervention protocols. We specifically dissected the synergistic pathways from three distinct perspectives: (1) The state-dependent modulation of brain, illustrating how one intervention modality alters the excitation/inhibition balance to prepare neural networks for the other modality; (2) Frequency-phase coupling, demonstrating the resonance between exogenous stimulation frequencies and endogenous neural oscillations; and (3) Neurometabolism and network reconfiguration, emphasizing long-term structural and functional connectivity changes. Furthermore, we assessed the influence of critical moderating variables, such as stimulation target localization, dose-response relationships, temporal sequencing of intervention modalities, and individual differences in baseline brain states.  
The synthesized findings from previous clinical trials indicate variations in therapeutic effects of this combined protocol in different clinical populations. In patients with Alzheimer’s disease and post-stroke cognitive impairment, the combination yields relatively consistent and robust improvements in global cognition and specific domains, such as memory and executive function. However, outcomes are significantly more variable in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and severe psychiatric disorders. We highlight critical determinants of the synergistic efficacy from four aspects. First, outcomes depend on the precise alignment between the stimulation site and the functional network engaged by the cognitive task, with individualized functional localization showing potential superiority over anatomical coordinates. Second, the relationship between stimulation parameters (frequency, intensity) and cognitive gains is non-linear and subject to homeostatic regulation, where excessive cumulative dosage may reverse excitability states. Third, efficacy relies on the synchronization of rTMS with specific training phases, indicating that the training content should functionally recruit the specific neural circuit modulated by rTMS to avoid a mismatch effect regardless of adopting the simultaneous or sequential mode. Finally, treatment response is heavily moderated by individual differences, such as baseline brain states and demographic factors, especially in clinical populations.
To conclude, the combination of rTMS and CT represents a promising intervention model that integrates exogenous neuromodulation with endogenous cognitive drive. The synergy is not a simple additive effect but a dynamic interaction where rTMS provides the physiological capacity, and CT provides the functional direction. By optimizing this interaction, short-term neuromodulatory effects can be translated into sustained and transferable structural improvements, such as enhanced white matter integrity and optimized large-scale network efficiency. However, this field is still hindered by significant limitations, including small sample size, insufficient follow-up duration to detect long-term maintenance, heterogeneity in assessment tools, and a lack of standardized protocols. These methodological issues currently obscure the potential of combined treatment and contribute to the observed variability in clinical outcomes.  
Findings of this study provide crucial guidance for future research and clinical practice in cognitive rehabilitation. Methodologically, there is an urgent need to transition from small-scale exploratory trials to large-sample, multi-center, longitudinal follow-up designs to validate long-term efficacy and transferability. Ideally, future protocols should adopt reproducible principles for configuring synergistic parameters, moving away from the population-average approaches to personalized interventions based on individual neural connectivity and baseline states. We propose the development of a multilevel efficacy evaluation system that integrates behavioral performance with neurobiological biomarkers. By advancing mechanism-informed paradigms aligning stimulation timing and frequency with task-specific neural dynamics, researchers and clinicians can promote the precision and standardization of such combined intervention protocols. This shift is essential for ultimately delivering stable, functionally specific, and clinically meaningful cognitive rehabilitation outcomes for diverse patient populations.
