User Centered Design(VI): Human Factors Engineering Approaches for Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction
XU Wei
Starting from the design philosophy of "user-centered design", this paper analyzes the human factors characteristics of intelligent human-computer interaction (iHCI) and proposes a concept of "user-oriented iHCI". The paper further proposes a new human factors framework for iHCI based on the theories of joint cognitive systems, situation awareness, and intelligent agents. With the help of the concept and framework, the paper analyzes the human factors issues in the ecosystem of autonomous vehicle co-driving and proposes an initial human factors solution. Finally, the paper analyzes the two important research areas in iHCI (i.e., user intention recognition, human-computer collaboration) and points out the key human factors questions for future research.

The Psychological Control Plan for National Rock-Climbing Athletes Competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games
YOU Mao-lin, HUANG Jing, LIANG Rong-qi, ZHONG Dian
Rock climbing was selected as the official competition item for the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020, promoting the provision of psychological control services for national rock climbers. This study fully draws lessons from the experience of the other national teams while preparing for the Olympic Games. Through interviews and questionnaire surveys, this study identified the main factors affecting the psychological state of national rock climbers, including items such as inattention. From these results, the work of psychological regulation and a control program was formulated. Based on the characteristics of competition time during the preparation period, and given the key work concerning psychological regulation of national rock climbers, the psychological regulation scheme of 30 days was selected as an example. These practices show that it is of great value to provide psychological regulation services for national rock climbers.

Recyclable waste should be marked green rather than blue
Although the color “green”is more appropriate for the meaning of “recyclable”, recyclable trash cans in Beijing and Shanghai were presented in blue. In this regard, three simulated garbage classification experiments were conducted for two main issues: which of green and blue is more suitable as the color of the recyclable trash can and the logo of the recyclable trash can; the differences between different gender and age. The results found that, as the color of garbage can/logo, green is better than blue for waste sorting efficiency, and this effect is larger among middle-aged and elderly population than the others. This research theoretically provided more efficient practical advices for waste sorting polices in China.

Self–concept clarity: Concept, consequences, and intervening strategy
REN Xiao-yun, DUAN Jin-yun, XU Yue, FENG Cheng-zhi
Self-concept clarity refers to the extent to which the contents of an individual’s self- concept are clearly and confidently defined, internally consistent, as well as temporally stable. We introduce the characteristics and development of self-concept clarity, then review evidence for the effects of self-concept clarity on mental health, physical health, and coping strategy, respectively. Moreover, drawing from self-discrepancy theory, goal-setting theory, and self-regulation theory, we further discuss the potential mechanism that links self-concept clarity to positive outcomes. Accordingly, we propose mindfulness as an effective approach to improve an individual’s self-concept clarity and make prospects for future research from theoretical and practical perspectives.

Cultural Psychological Interpretations of Globalization Paradox
HU Xiaomeng,Peng Kaiping,CHEN Sylvia Xiaohua
This article reviews and synthesizes differing aspects of the psychology of globalization, including the developmental trajectories, core issues, individual responses, reflections and future prospects, with special emphasis on the folk theories of globalization, the double-edged sword effects of multicultural experiences, identifications with global culture and all humanity, psychological responses to globalization, and the moral reflections on globalization. This article also attempts to provide cultural psychological interpretations of the globalization paradox and summarizes the contributions and limitations of previous work. It is our hope that our current work would promote more research to further explore how the macro-process of globalization and the micro-process of human thoughts, feelings, and behaviors dynamically (re)shape each other.

Thirty Years of Empathic Accuracy: Retrospect and Prospect
PAN Han-xi, GUO Yang, GAO Qi, XU Nan, CHEN Ze-feng, WU Jing-lan, CHEN Zhi-yun, SHENG Jin-you, REN Qin-yuan, GAO Zai-feng
In 1990, William Ickes et al. proposed the concept of empathic accuracy, emphasizing the role of individuals' accurate inference and understanding of others' thoughts and feelings.Over the thirty years, ample studies have found that empathic accuracy is closely related to individuals’ environmental adaptation and interpersonal skills in dynamic social interaction. This crucial concept hence has become the focus of research in the field of empathy in the past 30 years. Here we systematically reviewed studies on empathic accuracy, in the hope of providing a comprehensive understanding of empathic accuracy. We first introduced the origin of empathic accuracy and the underlying mechanism of empathic accuracy, followed by a summary of the measuring methods of empathic accuracy. Then we pointed out the core factors affecting empathic accuracy from three aspects: the target person of empathy, the empathizer, and the social environment. Finally, we discussed five potential directions that deserve exploration in the future.

The Development of the Online Prosocial Behavior Scale and the Test of Reliability and Validity among College Students
The purpose of this study was to develop the Online Prosocial Behavior Scale and to testits reliability and validity among college students. Totally 1300 college students weretested with the Online Prosocial Behavior Scale and the criterion scales. After 4 weeks, 205 of them were retested. The results showed that the Online Prosocial Behavior Scale consisted of 16 items and its construct validity, external validity, predictive validity, convergent and discriminant validity were good. The value of Cronbach’s α coefficient and re-test reliability were both greater than 0.70. Therefore, the scale has good validity and reliability, which can be a useful tool to evaluate individual online prosocial behavior.

Comparison between Domestic and International Research Hotspots of User Experience among the Elderly: Based on the Knowledge Map Analysis by CiteSpace
CAO Xian-cai, ZHOU Bo-lin4 CHEN-Xiantao, SHI Ran-ran, YANG Hai-bo
The current study used the CiteSpace to analyze the research records about user experience among the elderly from CNKI and Web of Science database ranging from 2016 to 2020, The results indicate: 1) the research on user experience among older adults is mainly in western developed countries; 2) domestic research has not formed a focused field of application, while international research focuses on the application in medical health; 3) quality of life has become the hotspot of international research; 4) knowledge base of international research can be divided into 3 categories: design concept and evaluation, medical health, and emerging technology. These results suggest that researchers of user experience among old adults in our country could concentrate more on the design concept of specific products or services, medical health, interaction design, and elderly-oriented evaluation of user experience.
